Catherine- Please take this note as a "heads up" when using the inks cartridges supplied by MIS for the 2000p. I recently purchased a set, open the packages and inserted them into my 2000p. The single, black cartridge was fine but he color cartridge replacement sent an error message to the software and lit the red "out of ink" light. I removed the cartridge and noticed the chip was missing. I contacted MIS customer service, explained the situation, and they sent me a chip. Along with the chip were installation instructions that began with a warning message in bold, red type stating that inserting a cartridge with a chip would "Cause Fatal Damage to the Printer" which it obviously had because it would no longer work, even with the new chip. I again contacted MIS, explained the problem, and they instructed me to send the printer to them (their cost) and they would fix it. They recently told me that the error was not the result of using a cartridge without a chip, which does not make sense to me given their inferior cartridge and their warning and that the printer was working just fine prior to putting in a bad cartridge. Anyway, I now have a dead printer, but inks and paper to produce great B&W prints, if I could just figure out how to use them! Check the cartridges for chips before you insert them. You obviously can't trust the MIS folks!!
