Refurbished printers from Epson can sometimes be better than new, because 
any problems have been corrected and the machine retested. Check to make 
sure it comes with a warrantee and all of the accessories and carts.

Does anyone have knowledge or comments on buying a 1280, new vs.
Epson refurbished? The refurbished is a great price with free shipping. As I
want to start it off with UT2 and only UT2 my concern is over getting a
refurbished machine that had its jets merely cleaned of former (dye) inks
rather than sterile, virgin jets. Definitely want to get started on the 
right foot.
Any input based on experience welcome.
