Digital BW, The Print

I've had some problems with the spongeless carts and UT2 ink for my
1280.  Bad clogs and, I think, faulty chips.  MIS sent replacement
carts so to clear up the clogs before I try them I put some OEM Epson
dye carts in.  I still have clogs in the black cart but it's better so
I'm letting it sit for a while.  Is there a problem mixing the dye ink
with UT2?  I thought I read that somewhere.  Should I soak up the pig
ink on pad?
