It seems to be the usual problem with traditional Mac programs transported to Win - it seems sometimes that people there are just doing everything to make transition to Win as painful as can be!

There is no need for any s/w to require all the fuss that you described - it is just poor engineering and complete disregard of Win users.

BTW I am very interested to know if this version is MS certified as Windows compatible.

It is not true that "MS likes things complicated" - it is a Mac-Lovers myth - the one who complicate thing are developers that just do not want to work in coordination with MS. The result is bad products. I was involved in several s/w development projects and can say that there is no other s/w company that provides so extensive support for developers like MS.

  Hi Moreno,

Well, I can say one thing...I just installed a Leaf Lumina on my Mac, and it
was literally drag and drop into the PS plug-in folder. On the PC, it
requires me to fuss with DOS ASPI drivers, and run setup programs, and
modify registry settings and this and that...all prone to messing something
else up. I primarily use the PC, but why on earth is it so complicated and
intertwined...when the Mac comes across as just so easy and simple... I
think MS likes things complicated, so you believe somehow that it's doing
more...and you will require endless updates, hoping that on the next update
you won't have any more problems...and that's been going on now for TWENTY
YEARS! Damn I hate MS. There wasn't one version of DOS that didn't have
bugs in it...and if they can't even get a simple high school project like
that right, how on earth would I expect them to get Windows right?

Sorry, I'm done ranting for now ;-/

  Austin
