<< Haven't seen the Problem Tim. Do you have the latest curves? for PC or Mac? they ain't the same!!! >> Thanks. Since I asked the question, Adrian reverted to his earlier operating system and got much better results the second time. So much so that I went ahead with VM and installed them in a CIS on an 1160. However, my results using Paul Roark's Windows' curves for the 1160 have been disappointing on my Windows 2000 system. The grayscale gradient is very uneven and posterised. I have not yet attempted to modify the curves, but I have found a method which gives me good tonality and a pleasing neutral to cool print. I print the monochrome image using the printer set to color and sRGB as the print space. A lucky fluke perhaps, but the results are excellent. Tim
