Is there any chance that the Kirkland/Costco Glossy paper has the same origins as some of Ilford's paper? It too is made in Switzerland. And if it is Ilford rebranded, perhaps one of Ilford's other inexpensive papers will have similar characteristics. I picked up a single package of an Ilford 13x19, 254 g/m2, glossy, resin-coated paper that is identified as Printasia Premium Photo Glossy Paper. It was made in Japan, and cost $27.99 at CompUSA (20 sheets). It looks pretty good for both colour and B&W (QTR + MIS inks) on an Epson 2200, but I haven't done any tests or side-by-side comparisons. I don't have ready access to more of it, so I'm reserving it for those occasions when I want a big, cheap thrill ;-) Myron Gochnauer BA, MA, PhD, LLB, LLM, Keeper of the Dogs goch@...
