I have an 1160 which I bought a couple of years ago to dedicate to quads, but never ended up using at all. It¹s been sitting new, unused on a shelf. Wanting to get back into quad printing recently, I fired it up with new Epson carts. Clog city, natch. After doing EVERY cleaning technique known to mankind over a one week period, I determined that the yellow head is permanently clogged. The question is- is it worth it to buy a new head and change it myself (from having it done on another 1160 years ago, I know the local authorized Epson repair place will charge around $200 for to put in a new head). Is it worth the effort? How difficult to do? It¹s sad because the machine is new, but I don¹t want to throw out good money with the bad!
