Joe Wisniewski posted a very interesting message on the QTR group. Thanks Joe! "The gimp print drivers will exhibit microbanding whenever the total ink density exceeds 100%. <snip> gimp print always interleaves ink, nothing ever really overlaps, and you cannot exceed 100% coverage." That seems to be really, really, useful information for people building curves, as that is very different than other rips I have used. Is this known behavior in the drivers as implemented in QTR and/or IJC? Sorry if I'm a little late to the game if this has been discussed before; I don't find anything by searching the last 6000 messages. I have not had time to explore this yet, but it could explain what I believed to be a dither problem in a QTR curve I was working on. I have been recently testing IJC in an attempt to eliminate the "dither" problem. Best regards, John Moody
