Digital BW, The Print

I can't speak for anyone else, but I store images on a 60GB external drive
(BUSLINK USB 2.0), and also on CDs. I have one set of CDs for original
captured images and another for images I've worked on. I use the same
directory structure for the CDs as for the hard drive (Year, Month, Day),
and I index the hard drive with an image management program called iMatch.
iMatch allows me to categorize the images by subject or by the stage they
are in in my workflow, and also to add various comments to describe the
images.

In the event I fill up the hard drive, I can "relocate" the images in the
iMatch database so the database points to the older CDs instead of to the
folders on the hard drive, so effectively the storage is infinite, with the
most recent 60GB being on the hard drive.  I've only been at this for about
seven months, but so far this system seems to be working out.

Now that I have an image or two under my belt that I like...

Storing them...I presume CD-Rw ?
One per disk seems a no brainer to start...since you can record
multiple songs ala MP3 interests I am also presuming you can save a
series of images on CD-Rw?

Other general concerns?
I'm imagining archiving an 'original' then working with it till
satisfied and then archiving the 'final' with all the elements.
