Received the following email response from Polaroid 
concerning their film holders, which cut off image area of 120 
film.

A new glass holder is in the works and should be available 1st Q 
of 2002. That should solve the problem you report

My serial number would indicate I have the corrected 120 film 
holder, but when I select a full frame 6x6 neg in preview mode, 
the resulting marquee is a rectangle, not a square. So when I 
need to crop the final image to a square, I'm losing image area 
on the top and/or bottom to compensate for the clipped lef/right 
film area. There is some wiggle room in the holder to adjust the 
film left/right, but no way to position it so both edges are clear of 
the holder. Are you addressing this issue by offering an 
anti-newton glass carrier, for instance? I'm trhilled with the 
scanner's performance in all other respects, but this problem is 
frustrating for critical professional work.
