>>I (almost) never buy one those extended warranties but somehow I thought that it would be smart for something like a printer. In this case it worked out like dream for me. CompUSA literally asked me no questions and had the new printer pulled from the shelves and in a cart ready for me to check-out. I was impressed.<< If Dave's post happens to be motivating anyone, you might want to wait until Sunday. One of the bargain watch websites posted a note that said CompUSA is supposedly going to have a cost+5% sale this Sunday. If I remember right, when I bought my 2400 in September at a cost+7% sale I paid around $790 plus tax. 5% would be even better. Usually these sales are not advertised much. Note the times of day that the sale is valid. You can call the store during the sale time and ask them to compute the price before you drive over there. Here is a link to the printout you will need to take with you (you may have to reconstruct the long link). http://www.compusa.com/specials/fandf/ff1.asp?cm_ven=chth_em&cm_cat=em_12070 5&cm_pla=cusa_cc&cm_ite=giftguides Doug --- Doug's "MF Film Holder" for batch scanning "strips" of 120/220 medium format film: http://home.earthlink.net/~dougfisher/holder/mainintro.html
