Digital BW, The Print

Been wondering what/if it would be like to use two blacks in a hex 
printer?

Something in particular like the MIS original that then had a Double 
Density black made - it seems you could load them both in a hex 
printer...or say MIS original black, + double density, + the VM black.

Is it a ridiculous idea?
Thought I would field the question again.
