Digital BW, The Print

I am purchasing an Epson 2400 for color work on matte papers (I currently own a 1270). Any recommendations from folks doing both color and BW work whether you suggest doing both the color and BW work on the 2400 with the Epson driver; BW work on the 1270 with QTR and the color work on the 2400; or both color and BW on the 2400 with QTR for the BW prints? I am looking to produce both BW and color work on matte papers and generally prefer "neutral" rather than toned BW prints. Under the last option outlined above would one need to swap inks to use QTR on the 2400? Thank you, J
