Digital BW, The Print

I am currently running OSX, Photoshop CS and have a 1280 with an older
Cone Piezo CIS system that will run on OS 9 and photoshop 7. I can
update the piezo system for about $350 plus the labor of changing out
all the inks and cartridges. I've tried to get my current piezo system
up and running on the older OS and photoshop without success, but I
understand it can be done. Recommendations? Several years ago I tried
both MIS and Cone Piezo and did make nice prints, but it was as much
time maintaining the systems as printing. Can I get Toyota reliability
without Ferrari maintenance in the digital black and white printing world?
