Greetings, I Recently ordered the warm tone UT-R2W ink kit from MIS to compliment my Epson 220, but have been having a couple of issues. First, if these inks are "warm-tone", then I'm guessing the neutral set is purple or something. Basically what I'm saying is printing to Epson Heavyweight Matte or Somerset Enhanced Velvet results in prints that are very neutral and hardly warm tone at all. So, do I, or do I *not* have to apply some special curve to this ink-set to get warm tone prints on cotton papers (yes, I'm using the Eboni ink)? Note I'm currently running with all profiles turned off and using the settings for my 220 listed Paul's site, which are consequenly the same ones I used for standard Epson printing. Next problem I encountered is the Dmax difference between the MIS inks and the standard Epson inks is fairly dramatic. Blacks with the MIS inks are muddy and lack the depth of the Epson ones. Should I fiddle with the Epson paper settings and try to induce more ink onto the paper (I usually use the Epson Matte - Heavyweight setting), or is this just a nature of the pigment/carbon based inks I have to live with? --S Eaton
