You don't need to match source to output; you just shoot source in a way that can be processed into a proper workingspace file, and process workingspace files in a way that offers optimal output. Otherwise you end up with a closed loop situation where you shoot images in Switzerland for a specific printer in New York, that may have disappeared in a fire or burglery before you get back, and which are not designed for use with any other output device... too brittle and limited.
