Andy,

Thanks for your reply.  The microbanding was very much reduced with the 
lever at O, although I can still see a little with a loupe.   I'm still 
a little unclear on the definitions of banding, microbanding, 
sub-microbanding, etc..  It seems like there are many different opinions 
about what these things are.  A lot of people say I shouldn't see any 
microbanding on this printer, but the written explanations about what 
this entails don't really provide enough information to decide what my 
printer is doing.  I am waiting anxiously to receive the prints from the 
latest Hendershot print exchange to look closely at other people's 
prints to see if they are getting what I am.
