Lea, I can confirm Steve's diagnosis and conclusion. It happened to
one of my 1280's. However mine was within the one year warranty
period. It was like pulling teeth to get Epson to warranty replace it,
but they did. 

And, if Epson customer service asks if you are using genuine Epson
ink, there is only one answer acceptable to them.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
