Digital BW, The Print

In the end there is a baseline price for all quality products.  Many reputable vendors will be charging essentially the same price.  However, look locally.  Shipping costs on this stuff can be high, offsetting any savings over what you pay locally.

Good mats are archival, buffered, ph neutral, etc...

Cheap mats are none of the above. 

So your first decision is whether you are comfortable with using nonarchival 
grade mats on your work. Once you've made that determination, you can starting 
looking at prices for the grade of mat you selected.
