During the past week I have had the great pleasure of processing around 300 images using the incredibly user friendly B&W Conversion software of the Imaging Factory. Yes, I could have continued to use the standard Photoshop conversion abilities as I have in the past, but found this software to be so much faster and more intuitive, especially if one has worked in traditional photo labs. However, I did find that to add further finesse (perhaps my own style preferences) even after initially processing in RAW and Photoshop, I inevitably returned to Photoshop CS for last minute fine tuning. With the "final" B&W image, the burn and dodge tool came in very handy as did a few others such as shadow/highlight and offset (under the exposure settings). Some semblance of these and a few others in the software would be a valuable add on. Clarence W.
