Hi Everyone, I just joined the group. I teach Photoshop for a living and noticed Scott's question about batch converting to BW from RAW. There are two ways that I know of to convert dozens or 100's or images from RAW to BW. Open Bridge and navigate to your folder of raw images. Shift select the images you want to convert to BW. From Bridge menu bar go to, 'tools' 'photoshop' 'image procesor' the image processor dialogue box pops up. click on 'open first image to apply settings' Chose a folder to save the converted images into. Usually an empty 'out' folder on your desktop. Fill out the rest of the boxes, size of jpg, if you want tiff and or psd etc. Press 'run.' A folder will open, you have to navigate to the folder to open the first Raw image to apply settings. When you double click the RAW file, it will open in Camera Raw. In Camera Raw pull the saturation slider all the way left. Customize the tones with 'curves' and / or 'shadows.' Once you are happy with the conversion, click 'open' bottom right. PS will run through all the images selected and convert using your first pics settings. All the images will be in a folder inside your 'out' folder on your desktop or wherever you saved it. You can also run a Photoshop 'action' from the image processor box and convert to BW that way. Thanks. Gavin. __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo!
