Digital BW, The Print

I have a 4800 and a 7000. I don't think that I would even consider a 2400. ;
)  I was quite surprised that the initial charge of ink used up 35% or more
of more 110 carts.  I have put in the 220ml and have been very happily
printing away.  The quality of the B&W prints, while not possible to split
tone, can be dialed in quite nicely. For me it was a step down in size and
some thing that I had to consider for some time.  If you don't plan on
printing much, perhaps the smaller printer will make you happy.  I would not
be surprised that the next series print in the 17" would make you even
happier. I did get mine while Epson was having a rebate so it was only
1495.00. The prints are very nice and all my printing is with the MK ink.

Gary does make a good point. It almost pushed me over the edge when I was in
the market. 

The 4800 comes with 8 cartridges that cost $70/cartridge from www.atlex.com.
That's over $500 worth the ink. Factoring that in, the prices for the 2400
and 4800 are even closer.

Still, I am happy I bought the 2400.
