Digital BW, The Print

This may be a bit off topic, being a repair question, but here goes. 
Following recommendations from MIS I purchased a used Epson C86.  I
have installed the ez inks from MIS, nuetral set and am trying to
print some bw photos.  I have noticed that now the printer is leaving
tiny vertical lines from top to the bottom of the page in a very
narrow area, say less than 1/4 inch.  It appears about 2 or 3 inches
from the side and does not appear anywhere else.  The middle of the
print is good, and one side is better than the other, but I can still
see it occassionally.  I have tried alignment, cleaning etc. without
success.  I'm using Ilford galerie glossy.  Any ideas why this is
happening on the side, but the rest of the print is good?
