If adjustments are made at the videocard level, then the software controls those and the before and after shows the change. So your results are to be expected. The next version of the software (free v2.2 update) will offer more in the way of assistance with whitepoint, lighting, screen brightness issues. For the time being, set the monitor brightness to a level appropriate for your ambient lighting and proofing lighting, and don't worry about the before and after not showing the difference. C.
