Digital BW, The Print

I am looking at a newly refurbished 1270. Are these good printers or 
should I hold out for a 1280 or should I continue to look for a 
refurbished  1160.

I use a Mac and plan to use the MIS inks. I looked over the custom 
curve selections for  MIS inks and it looks like my printer choices
are 
limited.
