From what I've seen, it is perhaps just as hit-or-miss with the 7000 and 9000, and the cost of fixing those is high. The more I see of mal-functioning 7000's, the happier I am with my old, 4-ink 3000. Betty, the main reason I like my 1160 so much is that I load my own carts and mix lots of my own ink. It's easier to do this with a 4-ink printer than with a 6-ink printer -- fewer inks to mess with. Other than that, I second what Antonis wrote.
