I keep a set of sample prints I made a couple of years ago - the same image - using Paul's curves for cool, neutral, carbon and sepia, for both EEM and HPR.The tonalities and transitions are almost exact - only the warm-cool aspect is different. The curves are not working now, so I deleted them and downloaded them again, but they still aren't working right. The sepia and carbon prints are washed out in the light and medium- light tones and the medium dark tones are mottled. When I used Paul's slider settings,(HPR) C+7,M-7,Y+25, Con 0, Br-4, I get a perfect print. Got a decent print at Br-4, C=14, M-14, Y+25. How can I get carbon, medium warm and sepia tones using sliders? Or does anyone know why the curves aren't working? I use Windows XP, PS7, and a 7600 printer. The only difference between now and then is a better new computer and WinXP instead of ME. This is making me crazy and I'll be grateful for any help back to sanity. Arlene www.arlenelove.com
