Hi... some of the links at the Staff Selections and Popular Requests seem broken. Try this, though, to find another way to access these files. Start off at this link: http://memory.loc.gov/ammem/fsahtml/fatop1.html This is a page from the Popular Requests section. Go to the image on the bottom right. Migrant Mother, and try clicking on it. The link is broken. Okay, now try this: Remember the first line of the description (Destitute pea pickers in California). Go back to the FSA home page and put those words into the search field. Select "match this exact phrase" from the pulldown menu below the search field. This will take you to the page for that image. At the bottom of that page, you'll see what files are available for the Migrant Mother image. In this case, there is one choice: "b&w digital file from nitrate negative." Click on that link. On the next page you'll see that there is both a 163kilobyte jpeg and a 55 megabyte TIFF. Sometimes, your search will take you to a list of images rather than a single image. You can then explore that list. Notice also there is sometimes a PREV and NEXT link at the top of the image page. These links can take you to adjacent images on the roll. Hope this will get you started.... :-) Ed --- In DigitalBlackandWhiteThePrint@yahoogroups.com, G Guhan Gunaratnam <guruguhan@...> wrote: > > Hi again, > > Sorry for the barrage of questions.
