The idea that you'll get more data from 35mm film that the current digital SLRs is pretty questionable; there will certainly be more pixels; what data those pixels contain is the issue, and its usually some mixture of noise and grain. If you are in love with film grain, and unhappy with digital grain or digital emulations of film grain, that would be a reason for shooting film as well.
