Digital BW, The Print

Let me start off by saying 'thanks' to all you folks for sharing 
this great information, and the benefit of your experiences. This 
group is a great resource.

I've been following the discussions on BO printing on the Epson R220 
and thought I'd like to try it.

Epson Canada are currently selling R220s for the price of the ink 
cartridges alone. Since I already have a R300 which I use for colour 
printing, and it uses the same cartridges as the R220, the printer 
is basically free.

I ordered some Eboni Black (neutral) from MIS, which arrived today 
as did my new printer.

I've just run off a couple of prints on Epson Enhanced Matte and I 
am impressed. The blueish tint I was getting with the Epson (dye-
based) black is missing. The prints, to my eyes, look great. A very 
nice range of tones, and skin tones seem to be more natural and 
delicate.

This is going to be fun :)
