Thanks for your thoughts Sam.  Right now, after going to the art store and
seeing the selection of shades of white they had, I've become a little
interested in trying to cut my own mats.  I'm going to start small and see
what I think (good straightedge and handheld cutter).  Might be a
short-lived interest.

Thanks again though, I may give the pre-cuts a try in the future.
