Guhan, I haven't reviewed this thread so excuse if this is redundant. I cut my own mats. If you do it with a straight edge and mat cutter be sure you get a straight edge with a cork backing; less possibility of slippage while you are cutting. Personally, I would consider a Logan 301 mat cutting device, which has a rail to guide the cutter and sells for less than $100 (includes the beveled cutter). I've used mine for years now and made the money back the first day I used it. >
