This seems to have been common practice for some time now. Unfortunately there is current conflicting info floating around about the x800 series Epsons. I'm now being advised to leave the 9800 on, as the heads may no longer be capped in the power off position. But I've not had any information directly from Epson confirming or denying. Tyler
