I'll reply to this myself...

I just bought a Epson 220 so hopefully I'll be able to do some 
additional testing for sharpening - although I'm not sure how the 
larger print sizes will change the required amounts.  

Any ideas or experience?

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
