Thanks, I know that what I was referring to using poster paper as a test to
cut a window out of, and determining whether one is happy with the
dimensions of the border (this is before cutting the final mat).  Thanks

I feel tasteful to be a relative term.  Like I said, I have a preference for
smaller border sizes, but completely agree that this is a matter of taste.

I want my board colour to match paper colour as much as possible.  If you
talk to the guys in Yodobashi, top floor, they can be very helpful in
tracking down paper/canvas/matboard.
