I tried hot melt glue when I had some leaky plugs, but it was very difficult to get a perfect seal. The slightest moisture led to tiny, leaks that emptied the carts, when in the printer - so the valves were open - in about a day. Silicone "bathroom" sealant seemed to work a little better in the few attempts I made, again the area must be dry, but it seemed less critical with this. I just wiped with a tissue after filling. I ended up discarding these carts as non-leaky ones were supplied in a couple of weeks, so I cannot comment on reuse. Of course it could be that other hot melt glues are better than the one I had (no idea what it was). Also I am not very familiar with hot glue so it may be you can do better - as Eddie says the seal must be perfect. The very first fill could be simpler, as it may be possible to avoid getting any ink near the fill holes (I always had traces of ink from removing old plugs when refilling.) Good luck Colin.
