Hi Geoff I have also seen this effect. I noticed it in some prints I did on some sample Permajet papers (Omega, Delta and Alpha) I had, and these have banding in some low mid tone areas. I don't see this in the same print on HPR. Presumably some papers need more ink than others to produce an even tone. I haven't seen it in gloss / rc papers with the R2 inks but my experience is limited to Epson PGPP. I have seen this more with colour inks and have been trying to fix this on both HPR and EEM, so far without complete success. I've been trying different paper settings / resolutions to see if this makes a difference. I believe the paper settings towards the bottom of the drop down list in the driver settings interface lay down more ink. I also believe that banding can be avoided by putting more ink on the paper. (Could this be at the cost of some detail though?) So far I have improved things but haven't found a combination which solves my problems. Chris
