Hello All, I don't know if these have been mentioned here before, but I've found some excellent spotting pens. They are the Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pens. They come in various color sets, including a set of six shades of gray containing acid free pigment "india" ink they describe as waterproof and lightfast. The list price is $14.95 but are discounted at on-line art suppliers. I found them for $6.98 at Dick Blick http://www.dickblick.com/categories/pens/ I've used them a couple of times now for spotting flakes and they're great. They have a semi-soft tip that is shaped to a tiny point. The width of line depends on the pressure, but even the slightest touch makes the ink flow. I've been able to just give the barest touch with the pointed tip to a tiny flake spot and it disappears. I use a magnifiying headset to do it, and I can see a tiny bit of ink flow into the spot and fill it up. It's similar to the way a Spottone dot can expand a bit after a second or two.
