Raw Shooter Premium lets you turn the sharpening off as well as set it to a minimum and this works. It is much better than RSE with a really good curve you can edit and a few more features not present in RSE. But RSE is free. I think it is possible to turn off the sharpening in it too. However I wouldn't use RSE because I find the curve essential - before I swtiched to RSP I was using Capture One Pro. Bibble does have its good points, but I didn't much like the colour it gave when I last tried it, and preferred the output from RSP, though that may well depend on the camera - I'm using a D200 at the moment, though I think it was a D70 when I last tried Bibble. With RSP I very seldom need to touch the colour balance, it almost always looks right with the camera setting, and the autoexposure usually gives a pretty close result too. I've also looked at most of the other conversion programs that are available - and written some stuff about them. But there are plenty of choices. I just get a smoother workflow with RSP. People who want to work in a different way might not find it so. Bibble Lite isn't too expensive, either, and is quite comprehensive. > > Good luck, > Richard > -- > http://smallfield.vze.com > http://photos.smallfield.vze.com > > > > > > >
