Digital BW, The Print

In January, David S Spivak cashed my 2 checks. One was for $35 for 
submission fee, for what was advertised, or so it seemed, to have 
work juried for inclusion in  the magazine's feature section. The 2nd 
check, for $25(!)  was to cover return  shipping for the submitted 
prints and disc. Subsequently, Spivak  phoned me a couple of times to 
say he would be glad to feature my work in the magazine for  a $1500 
fee.  It seemed that between the time I'd seen his ad and the time I 
submitted my work, the rules had changed.

All I want now is the return of my portfolio of prints. I get no 
response to my emails and phone calls.  

It  looked like a legitimate publication. I'm really angry at having 
been taken, and embarrassed too – but most of all, I'm upset over the 
loss of my prints.  Anyone know who this guy is? Has anyone had 
dealings with him or the publication?
