Hello Karl, You might want to try taping a 2-4 inch leader to the media, then add the same amount of offset to the top margin for printing. Hopefully the printer only tries to detect the first few inches. I've done this all the time to force the printer to pull in very thick media. I think the best way to do this is tape your media on top of the leader, and not the other way around. You may want to try a couple of test feed to make sure if this is the correct way to do it. And tape them together using small pieces of tape about 2-3 inches apart should be sufficient.
