Think coating. Still working on it but I'm past 2" maybe down a 
couple of feet don't know if I can get to 6. Hope to post some more 
results this week. The Varathane is looking promising.

Will not be to everyone's taste but hope I am close to a very cheap 
method for people who want to try it out.
