Digital BW, The Print

I have been printing BW digitally since the original Piezography with the Epson 3000.  I am 
currently using an Epson 2200 and 9600 with IJC/OPM with great satisfaction.  I was 
wondering if the new Epson 4800 gets similar results as my current set-up without having to 
go through the IJC/OPM software as I would love to print straight from Photoshop or 
InDesign.  I will be printing a large book project (1500 pages) and would like to be able to 
print both color and BW from InDesign and the 4800(auto feed tray).  Is there a way to do this 
and still have the quality?
