I've BETA tested this paper using QTR and Paul's curves, and YES indeed it's "warmer"..Probably due to the lack of OBA's..However I personally think the results are stunning, especially after spraying with PREMIERE art shield..it does "even-out" what minor gloss differential you see with any "bare" paper white.. For QTR, I'm using the "premium lustre" paper setting with the premioum lustre curves (30% carbon/70% neutral).. ..Works fine for me!.. My comparison is the same print on EEM using Paul Roark's QTR profile (Carbon). I used the Premium Semigloss eboni curve, the photo paper setting and 2800. A few reactions. There was very little,if any, bronzing. Even under a very bright light all I could see were some glints from the surface texture. Without ajdustments, the print was warmer than the EEM version, more towards Sepia than the standard Carbon tone, and lower in contrast. I tried using the Photo film setting, but that did not help matters. However, an additional contrast curve seems to do the trick. While I have no basis for comparison with other printers and inks, the paper works well on a 1280 with UT2 inks. I have no idea whether or not it is closer to a "real" photograph than other inkjet prints and don't really think it maters. However, the output is stunning in its own right.
