EPSON 1160 dye or pigs

2006-06-29 by chatzebussi

Hello

I have a brand new EPSON 1160 which I should like to use for BO
printing. Important: These prints will "not" be exposed to daylight!

I checked my five-year-old EPSON dye prints on EAM and HPR(kept in the
dark)and I can't see any traces of fading. Am I wrong here??? Any
other chemical processes going on here apart from those triggered by
daylight ???

As I like the deep blacks of EPSON dyes and the hue of that black and
because perhaps head-clogs will be less of an issue than with MIS
ebony I might give it a try.

Any comments ??? Thanks!

P.S. Incidentely: Whats the difference in d-max on EPSON
(Archival)Matte between dye and ebony-k? To the bare eye dye blacks
are much deeper. But again I might be wrong here.
