By doing so you will have more contol and flexibility for creating a more dramatic result by converting them to BW using one of several methods possible in Photoshop, assuming you are using Photoshop. If you shoot the pic as "BW from the camera," your options are more limited. For a silhouette image you will need a lot of "back light." For example if shooting outdoors during the daytime you will want the sun to the subject's back. Does this help? ~Danny~
