Re: [Digital BW] Question re digital workflow and printing workshops

"As to how Jon Cone, George DeWolfe, or anyone else compares to John
Sexton as a teacher, I wouldn't hazard a guess"

I've taken four workshops from John Sexton, three were one week workshops,
the other was two weeks. I've also taken George deWolfe's one week digital
black and white printing workshop at the Palm Beach Photographic Workshops.
Since I've spent five weeks in John Sexton's workshops I obviously thought
he was an excellent teacher. He also was a very nice person, he gave the
best portfolio critiques I've heard, he was well organized, stayed in the
class room until late at night then got started early the next day. I also
thought his enthusiasm for photography was infectious. I've probably taken
12 to 15 workshops over the years and I think John's were the best. George's
workshop was also very good. I don't think he's quite on the same level as
John but he's very good and I'd recommend the workshop I took to anyone who
isn't already an advanced digital b&w printer. I've never taken a workshop
from Jon Cone so I can't compare him to George and John.

I took the predecessor to this class about four years ago. It was the
most useful workshop I've ever taken. I still use most of the techniques
taught in that class.

I've also heard excellent things about George DeWolfe's classes. Sadly,
I've never been able to take one.

As to how Jon Cone, George DeWolfe, or anyone else compares to John
Sexton as a teacher, I wouldn't hazard a guess.
