Hi Mark Actually, the provia detail is 25% larger, which might explain it's increased detail. However, overall I don't think these are very good images with which to make a comparison: Exposure is different Framing is different. While I agree with you that I like the overall look of the D30 image better, that may be the result of the above differences.
