Digital BW, The Print

Thanks to some fine sample prints and patient e-mails from Clayton, am
off and running with BO printing. Am using the Eboni cart from MIS
some Avery postcard stock (#8387, 4-up to a sheet). I ordered some
Epson Enhanced Matt for proofing but instead of loading that up went
straight for some HP Presentation Paper, then the Postcard stock. Also
have some Kayenta coming in from Moab any day now, anxious to try that.

My wife, a friend and I run an art gallery here in Billings (shamless
plug alert: www.flatirongallery.com) and am under mild pressure to get
some postcards out for our next reception. You can see the photo I
chose for the postcard on our home page, lots of blacks and dark
subtle greys. The prints look excellent to my admittedly untrained eye.

Have no idea how archival this Avery stock is, it doesn't really
matter much with this mailing. 

Also ordered an Eboni spongeless cart, pre-filled, and my next step on
the learning curve is how to re-load that with some bulk Eboni ink
when it runs out.

Anyway, am very excited over this method of printing. Maybe some day
I'll be ready for the full ink set but that's a ways down the pike.
