Digital BW, The Print

Paul said in another thread some time ago that the Permajet Monochrome 
Pro ink set are very similar to UT2.  I have been trying the Permajet 
and find that the U&2 curves really don't work well.  

So the question is How similar are these two?  Should the UT2 curves 
work?
